Man enters plea in robbery, chase

Todd Kooiker

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — The man who led deputies on a chase after robbing a credit union while dressed in women’s clothing entered a plea earlier this week.

Todd Kooiker, 51, Monday pleaded no contest to armed robbery and fleeing police.

Kooiker entered the Community West Credit Union in Hudsonville in April while wearing women’s clothing. Carrying a BB gun that resembled an actual firearm, he demanded money.

He took off with cash, leading Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies on a chase before crashing his motorcycle into a cruiser.

Kooiker remains in the Ottawa County Jail as he awaits his Aug. 11 sentencing.
