Man shot in Muskegon Heights dies

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man died a day after being shot in Muskegon Heights last week.

Rayshun Day was shot June 24 in the area of Reynolds Street and E. Hume Avenue. He died June 25 at Mercy Health Muskegon, hospital officials confirmed Wednesday.

The day of the incident, police said the 24-year-old Day was walking in the neighborhood when he was shot in the head. They said he did not live in that neighborhood.

As of Wednesday, police had not released any new information about their investigation.
