Missing southwest Michigan man located

WHITE PIGEON, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in southwest Michigan say a man with dementia and Parkinson’s disease who went missing Wednesday morning has been found.

Paul James Fifer, 81, was found Wednesday evening in Lawrence, Mich. by local police, according to a release from Michigan State Police. He was checked out at a local hospital and then sent home with his family.

Fifer left his White Pigeon home around 8 a.m. Wednesday, MSP said. When he had not yet returned home by 1 p.m., police began to search for him.
