LAKETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A car collided with a camper and then rolled after its driver sneezed, firefighters said.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday on 144th Street at 62nd Avenue in Allegan County’s Laketown Township, south of Holland.

A woman driving east on 144th sneezed, causing her vehicle to cross the center line into oncoming traffic, according to Graafschap Fire Chief Cal Haverdink.

The car collided with a camper being pulled by a westbound truck. The camper broke into pieces, Haverdink said.

The woman’s car rolled after hitting the camper. She was trapped in the vehicle, hanging upside down from her seat belt, until firefighters freed her, according to Haverdink.

Though Aero Med was initially called, the woman was instead taken to a hospital via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
