DORR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a car involved in a hit-and-run in Allegan County.
The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday on 142nd Avenue near US-131 in Dorr Township, according to Michigan Sate Police.
Witnesses told troopers a westbound car hit a pedestrian who was on the shoulder of the road.
The victim, a 23-year-old Wayland man, was found lying in the road by a passerby. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Troopers say the dark-colored passenger car — which is of an unknown make and model — was last seen headed west toward Dorr. It will be missing the passenger side mirror and may have more damage on the passenger side.
