The joyful spirit of Camp Sunshine

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD)  Everyone deserves the opportunity to have fun at summer camp. One camp makes it possible for people with developmental disabilities to get out and have fun, in a safe environment. Jordan Carson recently got a chance to visit Camp Sunshine.


It offers people ages 12 – 50 with developmental disabilities the opportunity to attend summer camp in a safe, caring and inclusive environment.

Come out and join Camp Sunshine for one of the talent shows this summer. The talent show is held on the last night of camp at each session. Considered the grand finale of camp, the talent show showcases the wonderful spirit and talents of our campers. Choose from:

  • Wednesday, August 6 at 6:30 pm – Camp Blodgett, West Olive
  • Sunday, August 10 at 6:30 – Camp Blodgett, West Olive

Run for Camp Sunshine

Camp Sunshine is proud to host its 4th annual Run for the Sun 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run. This year the 5K will be a timed event and all runners who are registered for the 5K will be issued a bib and a timing chip when they check-in. The 1 Mile Fun Run will not be timed. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
