Body found in Grand Haven Harbor

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) – Grand Haven Department of Public Safety officials are investigating after a body was pulled from the Grand Haven Harbor Wednesday morning.

Police received a call about the body of a white male, which was discovered by a dredging crew in the water near Dewey Hill, just before 9 a.m.

Detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy performed Thursday morning and attempting to identify the victim through forensics. The cause of death is still unknown.

Detectives are also reviewing missing person reports from throughout Michigan.
