MSP: Suspicious death appears to be suicide

CASCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State Police say the Tuesday death near South Haven it was investigating as suspicious appears to have been a suicide.

Troopers spent hours at a residence in the 300 block of 71st Street in Casco Township Tuesday after a woman was found dead.

Thursday, MSP said the woman — a 34-year-old from Coloma — appears to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The woman’s name was not released Thursday, as MSP said it had not yet been able to find her relatives.

MSP said it was still investigating.
