SALEM TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was killed and two more hurt in a Saturday afternoon crash near Dorr.
It happened around 5:20 p.m. on 142nd Avenue at 26th Street in Salem Township. That intersection is a two-way stop with signs on 26th Street.
MSP said Sunday a vehicle headed north on 26th Street failed to yield the right-of-way to an eastbound vehicle at the intersection, causing the crash.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, 22-year-old Caleb Heath of Hersey, was killed.
AeroMed was called to the scene.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle and passenger of the northbound vehicle were taken to the hospital, according to Michigan State Police. One of the victims sustained serious injuries and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.
