17-year-old faces criminal sexual conduct charge

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a 17-year-old for criminal sexual conduct Saturday.

After being called to Spectrum Health-Big Rapids for a criminal sexual complaint, investigators found that the suspect had sexual relations with a minor, according to a news release

The relations had been going on for approximately three months in both the Barryton and Canadian Lakes area, deputies said.

The suspect’s name is not being released until the suspect is arraigned.
