Man escapes GR house fire

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Fire Department is investigating after a fire sparked at a home in Grand Rapids Saturday morning.

The fire happened at around 2 a.m. at a home located on Hall Street near Cromwell Avenue.

When fire crews arrived, the back porch of the house was on fire. A man who was inside of the home was able to get out safely.

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause is unknown at this time.
