COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – While searching a house in Comstock Township, officers found an active meth lab and marijuana plants Friday morning.
Deputies from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of 26th Street in Comstock Township around 5:30 a.m. Friday, according to a news release.
Officers were investigating a suspicious person walking around with a baseball bat in the road. When they tried to make contact with the man, he ran into the home.
After getting further information, deputies applied for a search warrant and found four people inside the house.
Officers also found an active one-pot meth lab, materials used for manufacturing methamphetamine, suspected methamphetamine, evidence of a red phosphorus meth lab and marijuana plants, the release said.
The four Kalamazoo area residents were taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail for multiple charges in regards to the investigation, according to the release.
