Coldest July 16 on record in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Temperatures topped out at just 71 degrees Wednesday, the coldest high temperature ever recorded on July 16 in Grand Rapids.

The cold snap isn’t quite over yet — we could see near record low temperatures Thursday morning. The record low for July 17 in Grand Rapids is 48 degrees.

The warmup begins Thursday. Storm Team 8 is forecasting high temperatures near 80 degrees on by the weekend, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s next week.
