PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man riding a four-wheeler had to be airlifted to the hospital after colliding with a pick-up truck pulling a boat.

Jordan Key, 27, of Kalamazoo, was heading eastbound on Michigan Avenue near Hutchinson Road in his pickup truck when police say 74-year-old Gerald Butler of Three Rivers didn’t see him coming and pulled out in front of him from a private drive around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Key attempted to avoid Butler, but Key’s trailer hit his four-wheeler and Butler was thrown into the road. He was not wearing a helmet.

Butler was seriously injured in the crash and was taken by Aircare to Bronson Hospital.

Key and his passenger were not hurt.
