Aquinas College campus lockdown lifted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich, (WOOD) — A precautionary lockdown at Aquinas College has been lifted, according to an Aquinas spokesperson.

The campus was originally put on lockdown Friday as Grand Rapids police searched for two suspects near campus, Grand Rapids police said.

GRPD said the search began after a person was seen running with a gun. Ultimately, police caught up with both of them, and recovered the gun.

No shots were fired, police said.
