85-year-old Jenison woman found safe

JENISON, Mich. (WOOD) – The Ottawa Sheriff’s Department has found an 85-year-old Jenison woman who was missing Friday.

Geraldine Willard last spoke with her family around 12 p.m. Wednesday. Her family didn’t hear from her Thursday and called the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release.

When deputies went to Willard’s home in the Waterview Court area of Jenison, her personal effects and car were missing. Police don’t suspect foul play at this time, the release said.

Authorities found out Friday after that Willard had checked herself into a medical care facility. She is safe and being taken care of, according to authorities.
