4-year-old found safe at Tunnel Park

PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A child has been located after going missing for a time at a park north of Holland.

Around 3 p.m., the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a 4-year-old couldn’t be found at Tunnel Park in Park Township.

The child had last been seen wearing a life jacket in the water, and the U.S. Coast Guard was brought in to assist in a water search.

Around 3:45 p.m., authorities said the child had been found on the beach by firefighters. He was uninjured.

He was being returned to his family.
