GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Guiding Light Mission works to help people on the road to recovery make a clean start. It is one of the few long term recovery programs left in the state of Michigan. Short term programs are typically ten days. Thirty days is considered long term. Guiding Light picks up the pieces for long term recovery, and all of its services are free.

Guiding Light also offers career counseling, job placement, educational services, budgeting education, and more. They follow each person through the process, make sure the changes they’re making become healthy habits and prepare them to reengage with society.
