19-year-old shot and killed in Kzoo ID’d

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in Kalamazoo Wednesday night.

Police have identified the victim as Christopher Lee Adams, of Kalamazoo County.

Officers discovered there had been at least two people shooting at each other in the 3200 block of Mount Olivet Street around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Everyone had fled the scene by the time police arrived. Minutes later, a vehicle arrived at Borgess Hospital with a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Adams was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are not saying if they have a suspect in custody at this time.
