Maranda Park Parties wrap up in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) A fabulous 20th birthday of Maranda Park Parties is about to wrap up in Battle Creek on Thursday, July 31, in Battle Creek.

Maranda Park Parties wouldn’t be possible without a great crew of interns. This year’s group put together a little something to show what they do at each Park Party.

Fifth Third Bank has been a longtime partner with Maranda Park Parties, sponsoring the Super Slide! They bring a huge team of employees and volunteers to do face painting, run the slide, and give out Fifth Third River Bank Run t-shirts! John Zimmerman of Fifth Third Bank says it’s a great opportunity to connect with the people in the communities they serve and reach out to young people to teach them financial literacy.

A favorite on the entertainment stage at every Maranda Park Party this year is the Pearson family. Scotty and Lafoya, along with their six children ranging in age from three to 14, have been singing together for about ten years. They say performing together helps them communicate and have fun. Hear them perform “Even Me” in the eightWest studio!
