POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was hurt when a tractor collided with a pickup truck Tuesday.

It happened around 4 p.m. on 56th Avenue, just south of Taft Street in Polkton Township, north of Coopersville, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 36-year-old William Goodale of Wyoming was driving a pickup truck behind a John Deere tractor driven by 47-year-old Neal Bouchard of White Cloud.

Deputies say Goodale tried to pass the tractor. When he changed lanes to do so, Bouchard turned the tractor left to enter a driveway, hitting Goodale’s pickup.

The truck was pushed into a ditch and Goodale pinned in. He was hospitalized and remained in serious condition Wednesday morning.

Bouchard was not hurt.
