Celebrate National Watermelon Day

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Sunday is National Watermelon Day. Who doesn’t love watermelon? Not only is it delicious, it’s packed with anti-oxidants and eating it is a good way to stay hydrated. Watermelon is one staple used in recipes at Kitchen Sage.

Chef Tommy Fitzgerald is part of this culinary leadership academy to build life skills for Grand Rapids youth, including: teaching, budgeting, planning, teamwork, accountability, character development, resourcefulness, and leadership. Celebrate National Watermelon Day with the recipe below.
