Reward offered in Kzoo bank robberies

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A reward is being offered for information about two robberies at the same Kalamazoo credit union that police say were committed by the same person.

The robberies happened May 5 and June 18 at the Preferred Credit Union on S. Westnedge Avenue north of W. Kilgore Road, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

The robber was armed in both instances, police say.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male in his late 20s or early 30s. He was between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 and weighed between 165 and 175 pounds. He may be wearing his hair in dreadlocks.

In the most recent robbery, he was wearing a light-colored, short-sleeved shirt and light-colored sweatpants. He was also wearing white tennis shoes.
