Teen stabbed and killed in Holland Twp.

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A teen suspect is in custody for the stabbing death of an 18-year-old man Thursday night.

Sheriff deputies at the scene said Ja’Paris Rodgers was walking near the 100 block of Riley Street with a group of friends when 16-year-old Victor Donaldson approached the victim and an argument broke out around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Donaldson then stabbed Rodgers in the upper chest multiple times.

Rodgers was treated on scene and rushed to Holland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Donaldson is in custody after police found him at a home in the 1400 block of Boer Run in Holland. He is being held at the Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center for open murder.

Sheriff deputies told 24 Hour News 8 at least one of the two people involved has gang affiliations.
