2 hospitalized after crash near Allendale

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two women were hospitalized after a crash near Allendale Sunday.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 5 p.m. Sunday on Bass Drive near 92nd Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say 25-year-old Samantha MacKeller of Ravenna was heading west on Bass when she hit the shoulder, lost control of her car and then crossed the centerline.

Her car collided with an oncoming eastbound car driven by 19-year-old Britleigh Strunk of Allendale.

MacKeller had to be extricated from her vehicle and was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital in critical condition.

Strunk was taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
