PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) 24 Hour News 8 Sports Reporter Casey Jones takes us on an inside look at the new eight field baseball and softball Art Van Sports Complex near Rockford.


The Art Van Sports Complex will host travel teams for both baseball and softball. In the first five years it is expected to attract more than 135,000 visitors and 75 events bringing in more than $20 million dollars to the economy of Kent County.

The event was hosted by the West Michigan Sports Commission who planned and raised funds for the fields through it’s “Everyone Wins” campaign.

Art Van Furniture is also involved with the Nate Hurwitz Miracle Field at the same location as well as the upcoming Art Van Fun Zone.
