How to make your own ‘bath bombs’

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) People love summer do-it-yourself projects, so we’re adding another to the list: bath bombs. It’s an easy and affordable way to pamper yourself. Michele Fife and Jill Bromley show us the quick, simple steps to creating your own, unique bath bombs!

Bath Bombs

  • 1 cup sodium bicarbonate
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 2 Tbsp. sea salts
  • 2 Tbsp. grape seed oOil
  • 1 tsp. essential oil
  • Witch Hazel – best when put in a spray bottle – 10-20 sprays (until the mixture feels like wet sand and holds shape when squeezed in your hand)

When applied to skin, citric acid can slough off dead skin cells and speed new cell turnover. The latter promotes new skin growth that can help alleviate the appearance of age spots, acne scars, small wrinkles and areas of uneven tone and texture.
