GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The man who arranged sexual encounters between a longtime Christian radio host and children has pleaded guilty to federal charges.
Ronald Moser pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child.
Moser admitted that he and former Christian radio host John Balyo took graphic photos of a 12-year-old at Moser’s Battle Creek home. He then put those images on the Internet.
In all, 41 pictures were found on Moser’s phone. Those images showed a second victim was involved.
Federal prosecutors say Moser had previously sexually assaulted the 12-year-old.
Investigators say Balyo paid Moser to arrange meetings where he could sexually assault boys. Last week, Balyo pleaded guilty to similar federal charges that stem from an April incident in Kalamazoo County that also involved a 12-year-old boy.
He still faces charges in a separate case in Calhoun County.
It was the investigation into Moser that led to Balyo’s arrest. Federal agencies, the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Battle Creek Police Department were involved in that investigation.
Moser could be sentenced to up to 40 years for the child porn charge.
