FLINT, Mich. (AP) — A Flint woman who battled cancer for five years and had her wedding wish granted last month has died. She was 30.

Sharp Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements, says Jennifer Korth died Monday.

Formerly Jennifer Hutcheson, she married longtime boyfriend Allen Korth in Fenton on July 6. The wedding was organized by the Michigan chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding, a nonprofit that puts on such events for couples when one-half is terminally ill.

She was told in February that she had two to six months to live. The wedding was chronicled by The Flint Journal, the Detroit Free Press and others.

A funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Flint. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
