Plane crashes in Three Rivers; pilot not hurt

THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating following a single-engine plane crash in Three Rivers.

The pilot of the single seat, fixed-wing plane crashed into some trees near a wooded area off from Hov Aire Drive near M-60 around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The pilot was able to walk away from the crash, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to a release from the Three Rivers Police Department.

Both the FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the crash.

The area is closed until the investigation is complete. There are no road closures at this time.
