SPARTA, Mich. (WOOD) It’s a long way from St. Patrick’s Day, but summer is the time to celebrate all things Irish with the annual Sparta Celtic Festival!
The Sparta Celtic Festival is a day of free family fun celebrating Celtic heritage, which includes Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and English. The festival is doubled in size this year, with music, dancing, highland games, a rugby tournament, tea house, and authentic food.
One of the performers is 14-year-old Lexi Schaub, who is returning to the Sparta Celtic Festival for her third year! She is from the Traverse City area, and has won the National Cherry Festival Talent Competition twice! She is scheduled to perform on the main stage at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 9.
The Sparta Celtic Festival is Saturday, August 9 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Rodgers Park in Sparta. Admission is free.
