GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 16-year-old shooting victim showed up at St. Mary’s emergency room with a wound to his leg Friday.
The teen was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle and the wound is non-life-threatening, according to police.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday on Cass Ave., S.E. near Garden Street in Grand Rapids.
Police believe there were two suspects who fled the scene on foot. They don’t believe the victim was the intended target of the shooting.
The victim has been less than cooperative with authorities, according to police.
There are no suspects in custody at this time.
