EUREKA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Five people were injured during a head-on crash in Eureka Township.

The accident happened on Greenville Road near Jordan Road around 3 p.m. Friday, south of Greenville.

A northbound Toyota pick-up, driven by a 19-year-old Stanton man, crossed the center-line hitting a southbound Ford Winstar, driven by a 33-year-old Greenville woman, head-on, according to a Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The man had to be freed from his vehicle by members of the Greenville Fire Department and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Greenville woman had her three children in the vehicle and they were also taken from the scene of the crash to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

Alcohol and speed were not a factor in the crash and everyone involved was wearing their seat belts, the release said.
