4 Caledonia home break-ins on same day

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is alerting the public after four homes in Caledonia were broken into on Wednesday.

The homes, located in the 6300 block of 76th Street SE, the 7600 and 9000 block of 84th Street SE and the 8200 block of Whitneyville Avenue SE, were all broken into between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to a release from the sheriff’s department.

Investigators said whoever broke into the homes did so by either prying doors open or clawing through unlocked windows.

Small amounts of cash were taken in each incident, the sheriff’s department said.

Investigators don’t have any information about the suspect or suspects in the break-ins.

Sheriff’s officials are asking residents to keep their windows and doors locked, store valuables out of sight and to keep an eye out for anything suspicious in the area.

Anyone with information should call the sheriff’s department at 616.632.6100.
