It happened before 4:35 a.m. at an apartment in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, according to Holland police.

Two male residents told officers that two people armed with a shotgun broke in to their apartment and assaulted them. The robbers then took off with the wallet of one of the victims and an Xbox gaming system.

They were gone by the time police arrived on the scene.

No shots were fired in the incident.

One of the victims was hospitalized with contusions and lacerations and then released. The other received treatment for minor injuries by emergency personnel at the scene.

The suspects were described by police only as two males with dark complexions, both of whom were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and bandanas.

They are believed to have left the scene in an unknown make and model silver vehicle.
