GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn will soon visit Grand Rapids.
The pair will be in town for a book signing and lecture as part of Grand Rapids Community College’s Diversity Lecture Series, according to the college’s website.
The tickets-only event is set for Sept. 22.
A $28 ticket will get attendees a copy of President Carter’s newest book, entry to the 3:45 p.m. book signing at the Calkins Science Center, and reserved seating for his 5 p.m. lecture at the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse.

Carter is the nation’s 39th president and human right activist. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. Rosalynn Carter is an advocate for a number of health causes and human rights.
