GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the person they believe abducted a woman at knifepoint in southeastern Ottawa County and then made her drive to an ATM to give him money.
A 24-year-old woman told sheriff’s officials a man with a knife forced her drive to a Fifth Third Bank branch ATM on Bridge Street NW near Stocking Avenue in Grand Rapids to withdraw money and give it to him.
On Friday, authorities say several sources identified the suspect as Tomas Garcia Jr. A two count warrant was issued for his arrest; one count of unlawful imprisonment and one count of armed robbery.
Ottawa County Sheriff deputies say early Friday evening Tomas Garcia Jr. was arrested.
