Division Ave, south of Wealthy Street, shattering the front window. It destroyed some interior walls and left insulation and drywall hanging. The plumbing was damaged, causing some water to leak into the basement.

It happened after the rear of a northbound car was clipped by another vehicle that was turning left. The car spun to the left across the southound traffic lanes, over the sidewalk and into the building front.

“I was up in my apartment and I heard like super loud screeching and then a huge crash, and it sounded like broken glass,” neighbor Cody Dalton said.

Two people in the car sustained only minor cuts and bruises.

No one was in the Buddhist Temple at the time of the crash.

The fire department stood by until a wrecker towed the car out of the building.

Police are working to determine whether anyone should be ticketed.
