Man critical after Kalamazoo stabbing

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — One man is in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times Saturday night.

It happened at around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of North Park Street in Kalamazoo.

According to a news release, officers were sent to the area on reports of an assault. When they arrived, they found a 24-year-old man with a few cuts on his body. While that victim was being treated, officers learned a second victim, a 25-year-old man, had showed up at a hospital with critical injuries to his torso and head.

Witnesses told police a group of people were fighting with blunt objects and a chain when the stabbings happened.

Detectives are still investigating. There were no suspects in custody Sunday.
