Holland police: Man stabbed in chest, head

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was stabbed in the chest and head during an altercation in Holland Tuesday, police say.

Officers were first called to a report of a fight around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 18th Street and Columbia Avenue. By the time they arrived, everyone had fled the scene.

Not long after that, police were called to a residence on 19th Street, where they found a 28-year-old man with stab wounds to the chest and head.

He was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police are looking for a short, heavy-set Hispanic male around the age of 25 who may have been involved. He had long, curly black hair and a mustache.
