Semi-truck jackknifes on US-131 in GR

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Northbound US-131 was shut down for a time Tuesday in downtown Grand Rapids after a semi-truck jackknifed.

The wreck, which involved an Ace Hardware semi-truck, happened around 1:20 p.m. on the S Curve, just north of the Wealthy Street exit.

Crews were able to move the semi-truck to the highway’s shoulder to allow traffic to begin to flow through.

It’s unclear what caused the wreck.
