GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Some of the top quilting artists around are in Grand Rapids for Quilt Week at DeVos Place on August 20 through 23.
Quilt Week features exhibits of quilts that range from something warm to snuggle in to works of art that hang on the wall. There are dozens of workshops led by world-class instructors and lectures designed for quilters from beginner to expert. You can also stroll the Merchant Mall for quilting merchandise, fabrics, books, patterns, and more!
Quilt Week brings tens of thousands of people to Grand Rapids, boosting West Michigan’s economy with visits to hotels, restaurants, and shops.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $11 at the door for members of the American Quilter’s Society and $14 for non-members. There are discounts for two-day or multi-day admissions.
You can visit a local quilting group called the “Crazy Ladies Quilting Circle.” They meet every Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Coopersville Farm Museum. Anyone is welcome to join!
