EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Get your taste buds ready! Some good food is going to be served up at a family friendly event, with the annual Taste of East Grand Rapids.
The event will take over Gaslight Village on Wealthy Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 21. Eleven restaurants will be participating, offering samples of food for $1 to $2. Many East Grand Rapids stores will be out as well, offering specials. There will also be live music and entertainment and kids activities. Admission is free!
Part of tickets sales from Taste of East Grand Rapids will go to Susan G. Komen West Michigan. Seventy-five percent of the money stays in Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Montcalm, and Newaygo Counties for services like mammograms and breast screenings. The other 25% goes to breast cancer research.
