Teen drives into swamp, thrown from car

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 16-year-old was thrown from his vehicle after he lost control and drove into a swamp.

Joshua House, of Edwardsburg, was traveling north on North Shore Drive in Cass County when he lost control of his vehicle around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say House was not believed to be wearing his seatbelt when his vehicle overturned several times and he was ejected.

His passenger, 16-year-old Broadryck Masten, was also injured in the crash but was believed to be wearing his seatbelt.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
