2 arrested after breaking into BC water park

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people have been arrested after breaking into a Battle Creek water park.

An employee at Full Blast Water Park on W. Hamblin Avenue called police after she noticed two men inside the indoor swim park around 3:40 a.m. Friday.

As officers were heading into the water park, the two suspects came running out of the south exit door toward the train station separating the officers from the suspects by a fence.

An officer was able to get one of the suspects to surrender, while the other suspect climbed a 10 foot fence and attempted to get away. A second officer was able to arrest him and took him into custody.

Further investigation revealed the suspects had broken in near the pool office area and grabbed multiple bags of food before they were arrested.

Both suspects are facing charges of breaking and entering.
