GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The final Movies in the Park of the summer will end with a special double feature Friday night.
The first movie of the night and voters’ choice selection “The Sandlot” will be shown at dusk followed by “Jurassic Park.” Both of the movies will be projected onto a 3-story screen at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids.
“By closing the 2014 season of Movies in the Park with a Voters’ choice film, we kept the focus on the real stars of this event, the community,” said Kristopher Larson, President and CEO of Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. “The night will offer something for all ages to come to the park and enjoy one more night out as the summer winds down.”
Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7 p.m. which will include family-friendly activities provided by the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and a mini playground set from Friends of Grand Rapids Parks.
Guests are welcome to bring chairs or blankets along with food, wine, and beer. A variety of local vendors will have additional food available for purchase.
