Police find guns and marijuana in kzoo home

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – Police found three handguns during a search warrant at a house in Kalamazoo Friday.

Officers from the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team found the guns at a house in the 200 block of E North Street, according to a news release.

During the search of the house they also found marijuana, an electronic scale and packaging equipment.

Authorities later found out that two of the guns had been stolen.

A 36-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested on felony charges stemming from the items found during the search. The suspect is facing felony firearm charges, possession of a stolen firearm and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

The suspect is currently at the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
