BCPD: Pedestrian shot in leg

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are looking for whoever shot a pedestrian as he walked along a Battle Creek street.

It happened in the area of Post Avenue and Euclid Street, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.

The victim told police he was walking along when he heard a pop as a car drove by him. He later noticed he was bleeding and realized he had a gunshot wound to his right calf.

He went to the hospital, where police were later called. The man’s injuries are not life-threatening.

The car involved is described as a white or grey late-model sedan, possibly a Buick LeSabre.
