GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The first hostel in Grand Rapids is set to open in 2015.

Grand Rapids residents, Mark and Phil Bouman, will open the Grand Rapids International Hostel in 2015.

The hostel will have a 30 person per night occupancy. It will be located in the Creston neighborhood near Leonard and Plainfield, about one mile from downtown Grand Rapids.

The hostel will be located in a 150-year-old Victorian home with five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Both Boumans will be living in the home and operating the hostel full-time. They plan to serve breakfast and offer bike rentals for guest use.
