Woman injured during 3 car accident

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – A woman is in the hospital after being involved in a three vehicle accident Monday.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of River Avenue and Douglas Avenue in Holland Township.

Thomas Franks, 55, failed to yield at a blinking yellow light and pulled out into oncoming traffic, according Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies.

Tania Flourney, 50, was hit when Franks went through the intersection, suffering non-life threatening injuries.

When the two vehicles hit, they were pushed into 61-year-old Sally Jo Harper who was waiting to turn left off River Avenue.

Flourney was taken to the hospital where she is listed in good condition.

Every person involved in the accident was wearing their seatbelts.
